The Austin Civic Orchestra closes out the "regular" part of its 2007-2008 concert season by going to the opera! The orchestra will be joined by four of Austin's stellar vocalists performing some of their favorite arias. Baritone Bruce Cain, mezzo-soprano Carol Kreuscher, tenor David Stephens, and soprano Claire Vangelisti will travel amongst operas by Verdi, Nicolai, Mozart, and Bizet. In the operatic tradition, the ACO will open the evening with an overture - to Wagner's Rienzi. They will close the concert with Stravinsky's breathtaking Firebird Suite.
How to obtain tickets:
Tickets will be available at the door. General admission is $10, students
are $8, and children under 12 are $3.
Season flex-tickets (good for 5 admissions during the season) will be
available at the concert for $40.
