On Saturday, March 25th, the ACO returns to Bates Recital Hall at the University of Texas for the 5th annual Texas Rising Stars Concert. The concert combines the best of the Austin community orchestras with the best from the Butler School of Music string studios in a collaborative concert free of charge to the Austin community.

The concert opens with concerti featuring as soloists the winners of the annual Butler School of Music String Concerto Competition.

On the second half of the concert, guest pianist Artina McCain will perform the final movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20. The orchestra will follow with William Grant Still’s Afro-American Symphony.

Come experience the talent of these young artists who are on the precipice of a career in music with ACO members who have a life-long dedication to music in Bates Recital Hall, one of the premiere performance spaces in Austin. Admission is free.
