The concert combines the best of the Austin community orchestras with the best from the Butler School of Music string studios in a collaborative concert free of charge to the Austin community. After the opening overture, four performers will dazzle you with their talent. The players selected through a competition, are current UT students, studying in one of the string studios at the Butler School of Music, and members of the UT Symphony Orchestra. The ACO will conclude the concert with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, Pastorale.
Come experience the talent of these young artists who are on the precipice of a career in music with ACO members who have a life-long dedication to music in Bates Recital Hall, one of the premiere performance spaces in Austin.
This concert was conceived by and presented in conjunction with UT Professor of Violin, Brian Lewis.

This project is funded and supported in part by the City of Austin through the Economic Growth & Redevelopment Services Office/Cultural Arts division believing an investment in the Arts is an investment in Austin’s future. Visit Austin at NowPlayingAustin.com.
